Hi There!
From the very beginning, Camden has raced BMX with a quiet kind of determination. He is focused, coachable, and always looking for the next detail that will make him better. We are Troy and Kim Fullwood, and watching our 12 year old step into this sport since his first gate drop on October 11, 2024 has been one of the most rewarding experiences of our lives. BMX has helped shape his confidence, discipline, and work ethic, and we have seen him grow not only as a rider, but as a young man.
In 2025, he earned some major wins, including number one finishes in both the North Carolina and South Carolina State Series, along with the Southeast Gold Cup Championship in 12 Intermediate. He has built a racing style that fits him with explosive starts, strong corner speed, and steady race IQ that continues to improve with every race.
What makes this Worlds opportunity so meaningful is that it was never the original plan. Camden did not go into the season with a goal of qualifying for Worlds. In fact, he had just become a new Expert rider in October 2025. When we traveled to Florida for the Gator Nationals, Camden asked us a simple question. He wanted to race the Worlds qualifying race, not because he expected to qualify, but because he wanted to see where he stood compared to other Expert riders. He knew he was stepping into a faster, deeper field, and he wanted to understand what he needed to improve for the year ahead. His mindset was to learn, measure himself, and take notes for upcoming Nationals, Gold Cups, and state races that he wanted to win in 2026.
But that is who Camden is. When he steps onto the track, he gives full effort and stays composed under pressure. He races with a strong start, carries speed through corners, and makes smart decisions in the moment. Somewhere in the middle of simply wanting to see where he was at, he put together the kind of performance that opened a door we did not expect. That is how this happened. A learning moment turned into a real opportunity.
Off the track, Camden is grounded and service minded. He volunteers on Sunday mornings and teaches first grade Sunday School. He is the kind of kid who wants to do well, but also wants to do what is right. He is respectful to coaches, encouraging to other riders, and grateful for every person who has poured into him along the way. As his parents, we are proud of his wins, but we are even more proud of his character.
Camden’s goals for 2026 are clear and specific. He wants to place consistently in 12 Expert, stay number one in Gold Cup, break into the top 20 for NAG, and make a strong run toward a podium finish at Worlds. He understands the level of competition, and he is not taking any of this for granted. He is ready to put in the work, learn from the best, and represent Belmont, North Carolina, and everyone who has supported him.
This opportunity came unexpectedly, but we believe it is the result of faith, hard work, and steady commitment. If you choose to support Camden’s trip to Worlds, please know that you are not only helping a young rider chase a goal, you are helping him step into a moment that will shape his future. We are grateful for every share, every prayer, and every bit of support as we help Camden take this once in a lifetime step.
-Troy & Kim Fullwood
